In 2021, New Zealand lost 607 lives to suicide. In a country like this, that is far too many. This is a number that should make everyone think about what they can do to make people feel more supported in their time of need.

January 3rd-11th 2022, I will be playing 607 holes over 9 days across a number of regions of New Zealand, raising awareness and money for each of these lives lost.
All money raised will be donated to a local charity named 'I AM HOPE'. I AM HOPE aims to promote positive attitudinal societal change around mental health throughout New Zealand, with money raised being used to fund private care and counselling for young people stuck-in-the-mud on waiting lists. You can find out more about I AM HOPE HERE

As we know, golf can be a therapeutic experience, and my goal for this challenge is to bring together the golfing community in New Zealand and around the world, to bring awareness and financial support to the cause. The golfing community is strong and so tightly knit, where else do you find yourself walking and talking with 3 strangers for 4 hours? It's time for the game we love band together and make a genuine difference.
I am also excited to showcase a number of the best courses we have in the country, with rounds being played at courses such as:

- Royal Auckland & Grange
- Windross Farm
- Hamilton
- Kinloch
- Wairakei
- Cape Kidnappers
- Paraparaumu Beach
- Royal Wellington
- Miramar
- Jack's Point
- Millbrook
- Arrowtown
- The Hills

Please be part of the golfing and local community banding together and finding ways to support a cause that is screaming out for help. In the build up to the event, we will be running a number of auctions and events to grow awareness and raise funds.

If you or any businesses you know are interested in being involved then please drop me a line at kiwicaddy@yahoo.com, I am looking for as much support as possible!
